What should I pay attention to before installing the sound-absorbing panel?

May 18, 2021

Before installing the wooden sound-absorbing panel, you must check the model, size and quantity of the sound-absorbing panel. The sound-absorbing board must be placed in the place to be installed for 48 hours, so that the sound-absorbing board can be shaped to adapt to the indoor environment.

The walls covered by the wooden sound-absorbing panels must be installed with keels in accordance with the requirements of the design drawings or construction drawings, and the keels should be leveled. The surface of the keels should be flat, smooth, free of rust and deformation.

The structural wall shall be pre-constructed in accordance with the building code. The arrangement size of the keel must be compatible with the arrangement of the sound-absorbing board. The spacing between the wooden keels should be less than 300mm, and the spacing between light steel keels should not be greater than 400mm.

The installation of the keel should be perpendicular to the length of the sound-absorbing board, and the distance between the surface of the wooden keel and the base should be in accordance with the specific requirements, generally 50mm. The flatness and verticality error of the edge of the wooden keel should be no more than 0.5mm. If fillers are needed in the gap of the keel, they should be installed and treated in advance according to the design requirements, and ensure that the installation of the sound-absorbing panel is not affected.

In order to ensure that the design effect is achieved, the installation site must be kept dry before installing the sound-absorbing panel, and the minimum temperature is not less than 10 degrees Celsius. The maximum humidity change value of the installation site after installation should be controlled within the range of 40% to 60%, and the temperature and humidity standards specified above must be reached at least 24 hours before installation.
